HAPPA: The Horses and Ponies Protection Association is one of the oldest and most respected charities for equine welfare. Founded in 1937 to help fight against the transportation of large horses to the continent for slaughter, HAPPA continues to play a major role in all aspects of equine welfare. Instrumental in achieving better protection for horses with the Riding Establishments Act, The Ponies Act 1969, The Illegal Tethering Act 1991 and by setting up the National Equine Welfare Committee 1997, HAPPA continues to campaign for improvements to existing legislation to ensure that horses, ponies and donkeys are protected from cruelty and neglect. Next I chose a very local charity, one I would have gone to for a cat but I ended up doing a private rescue of my lovely ginger cat Dobs. Oldham Cats is a UK registered charity dedicated to rescuing and re-homing stray, abandoned and unwanted cats & kittens. They have been helping cats in the Oldham, Rochdale & Middleton areas of Greater Manchester since 1996. They find homes for hundreds of homeless and abandoned cats and kittens every year and reply solely on donations to continue their work. Last but not least is a charity for lovers of all animals big and small. Bleakholt Animal Santuary is a charity committed to caring for dogs, cats, farm animals and small pets. No animal at the sanctuary is ever put to sleep except on veterinary advice. Our aim is to find happy loving homes for many of our dogs, cats, rabbits and small animals and those that cannot be re-homed will spend the rest of their days in our care along with our equine and farm animals. To book your free reading please go to my Order a Reading page, thank you xI am a Free Reader with TABI (The Tarot Association of the British Isles), as in thanks for the free service I’ve had a few people offer to donate to a charity as a thank you. So in light of this I’ve decided that this is an excellent way of thanking me for my time and also of being very beneficial to others at the same time. Therefore, if you are interested in making a difference please book yourself a free reading with me, and I’ll leave it up to you who you choose to donate to and how much, and your donations will help look after so many little mouths and they’ll have healthier happier lives thanks to your generosity x I’d like to introduce you to the charities I support as a Tarot Reader. This is a new venture for me and I hope you will help me support the ones I have chosen as they all do such a fantastic job caring for animals in their shelters. The first one is a favourite of mine, I’ve supported them for ever! Well at least since I discovered horses 32 years ago.
