Makes by blood boil…

I like eBay, I love hunting for a bargain, an old well loved tarot deck makes me happy. You can feel the age it has, the slight softness to the card stock and the years of giving and giving it has done to guide its past owner through a period of their life.

Then a deck pops up that makes my blood boil, to the point I needed most desperately to write this, and it takes a lot for this need to strike.

Today I saw this…

It literally stopped my scrolling. It’s FAKE!!! People it’s FAKE!!! And there’s a bid on it too!

How do I know? Well, I have a genuine copy, that’s how I know. And this is what a genuine copy looks like…so pretty 🤩

Spot the difference?

There are other differences. Fake decks have a QR code…

Genuine ones have a barcode…

I haven’t touched a fake deck, but I don’t need to as I can see the inferior quality already from the images. This is what I got with my genuine copy, you don’t get this with a fake…

Also, fake decks say scan the QR code for guidebook, but it’ll never be as charming as the little hardback guidebook of the genuine one. That’s if the QR code actually works.

Oh, and then I hear of people who’ve bought a fake deck complaining to the author or artist because the QR code doesn’t work!!!

Wake up people!

You’ve just been robbed and you’ve robbed the genuine author, artist, publisher of their fee too. Urgh, it’s so annoying.

And what do you get to show for it? A crappy version of a beautiful deck.

So please, use your noggin and buy safely. And thank you for reading my rant!

p.s. I am not connected to this deck or author, artist, publisher in any way. I’m just a tarot lover doing my bit for fairness.
