Our true feelings…they aren’t always easy to interpret. What we think we feel is often a delusion.
Take anger, fleeting eruptions of anger, for no apparent reason can be grief rearing up within us; just because you’re not crying doesn’t mean you’re not grieving. A feeling of despondency can be loneliness in disguise. The deepest darkest depths of depression can be masked by joviality and humour.
It’s time to sit with your feelings, to listen to them, really truly deeply listen to them. Hear what they are trying to tell you. You may not like what you do hear, but this is the path to healing.
And if you’re struggling, seek help, you don’t have to sit there on your own feeling what you feel.
