Hi there, welcome to May. I’m really excited for this month, there are so many fun things coming up. I’ve posted below a monthly reading and some fun dates for your diary. And there is a little announcement at the end for you.

Here is your tarot guidance for the month of May.

This month is represented by the Hanged Man and the Empress. As this is the year of the Chariot, I have included it for a fuller picture of how these cards will guide us through the coming month.

The Hanged Man is seen suspended upside down by his ankle with his hands behind his back, he looks outwards, directly at us, he is present in the here and now.  The Empress is looking at us too, albeit from a seated position, but her body is turned to the right as she is starting to focus on the future. 

From these two cards, the energy expressed will help keep you still. This is only while you work things out. Many a perspective will need to be considered before making any form of forward movement. This is a time to plant the seeds of inspiration, plan ways to nurture your ideas and how to put them into practice. Remember to take a breath every so often to reflect on your progress.

The Chariot doesn’t always have to be in motion. It can be left parked for a time, maybe give your chariot (you) a pamper, and a good spring clean mentally and physically and let the Sphynx’s within you rest too. Until the time comes when you are ready to pick up the reins and continue with your journey.

Here are some dates for your diary, I’m especially excited about International Harry Potter Day!

This month we have Beltane, on the 1st of May. Meaning Bright Fire it is a festival to mark the beginning of the summer months, the fertility for the coming growing season. To celebrate bonfires are lit, and we see dancing around Maypoles to honour this sabbat.

I am an avid Harry Potter fan. I’m in the process of re-reading all the books…I’m now on the last one!

Couldn’t exclude this now could I. “Do or do not, there is no try“, Yoda.

A full moon is a time to release any negativity around you, to focus on love and self-care. Also, spend some time deciding what you want to nurture and see bloom within and around you this month.

The royal family are like marmite to many, but I like marmite. I’m looking forward to watching history in the making with the King’s coronation. It’s going to be good to see something nice happening for a change and we do pomp and ceremony awfully well.

We all need a good laugh don’t we, the kind of laugh that makes our sides hurt and bellies ache until tears stream down our faces and we hiccup at the end! Make today a fun day and enjoy a good old chuckle.

On a personal note

Thank you for supporting my blog. I enjoy bringing tarot to you but I have decided to take a break from social media for a while. I find it starts to become unhealthy for me and a break does me good. But this does mean I won’t be posting my daily card for a while…I’m sure the odd post will sneak through to you though.
